Im about to turn the big 40 and tired of being alone. I feel like I have missed out on so much that life has to offer. I was the college student to wife to mother to worker to.... Well lets just say my life has changed 180 degrees. I am no longer able to work (Im not dying, just lupus) so I stay at home a lot. I do miss going out and having a fun time. The last three years I have stayed at home because I thought my life was over. I just quit on life and decided to live like a cow out to pasture. I was a math major, but I'm not sure if I can go back to that. My high school lied to me for four years, and that lie is the reason my tuition money vanished overnight. When I went in to apply for student loans, the form demanded 3 non-family contacts. I didn't have a single name or phone number. I ended up putting one of my 12-year old brother's friends down just to get the form to pass through.

A few other bad situations, and I snapped. I just couldn't hold it together. Every time I try going back, I just fall apart. I know why I'm depressed, and my feelings are accurate to the situation. I just don't want the problem masked by medication. I want it dealt with. Every time I try to climb out, I get tossed off another cliff.

When it comes down to it, I just want to be held. I want to know that I'm loved and cared for. It's just that when most people touch me, I hate it. The only time I can stand being touched is if I have feelings for the person who's touching me. I'm not willing to 'settle', so that puts me in a tight spot. I can either search for someone I'll be truly happy with, or accept that nobody is going to hold me close.

I am currently going to school part time, my major is elementary education/child development. I also work ful-time work at childcare center and I love it. I have worked there for six years and right now I get to work with kindergarteners everyday! I love to laugh and have a good time with friends and family. So I just wanted to add a few things to let you know why I'm on here. I do not know allot of people in Oklahoma city so my social network is small. I also do not believe I'm going to find a meaningful rewarding relationship on the dance floor at city walk or Grahams. Don't get me wrong I like to have a good time but I'm not going to be young and cute forever. I have been hurt and taken advantage of in the past so I'm slightly gun shy. I have dated off this sight 3 times and they were far from ideal.... LOL. If you would like to hear my horror stories just ask. They happened to me and they still crack me up. The last date I went on from here actually told me I was too great and she couldn't see herself with a nice guy.

I am a single mom of 2 great kids looking for people who share my interests or want to expose me to new things. I am compassionate and funny. I am kind of a home body and enjoy cuddling on the sofa with someone watching movies or TV. My interests are wide from foreign films to gaming. If I don't know something, I want to learn it. Yes I am a gamer, I know that is an odd thing for a woman, but it is something I have come to truly enjoy. I don't talk about it all the time and it doesn't rule my life, but it is one of the ways I enjoy spending my free time. I have met some of the best friends a woman could hope for through World of Warcraft. It has also taught me teamwork and people management skills trying to keep a lot of people happy at a time.

I am also a very kind and compassionate person. If someone I care about is hurting, I hurt also. I want to make people happy. I hate to see the pain and suffering of the world. I take things personally and wear my feelings on my sleeve. When I care, I care with my whole being. I don't usually keep things in and can tell you quickly when I have been wronged.

People tell me that I am loud. Not quite sure why that is, it seems that my voice carries well in normal conversations and yes I do tend to raise my voice when annoyed. I laugh a lot and loud. I am quite boisterous in all that I do.

I am not a skinny woman. I am overweight and will continue to be. I love me though. I think that is the key to being happy. You have to be able to look in the mirror and like the person who is looking back at you.

I'm a college Sophomore at OCCC. I really enjoy school, and am majoring in Psychology. I have a large family, all of whom I love. (Although I don't LIKE all of them). All in all, life is good. ^.^
